OnLive’s founder and CEO Steve Perlman is out

Here’s the latest from the ongoing OnLive restructuring drama: OnLive’s founder and former President and CEO Steve Perlman has left, the cloud gaming company just told us via press release. He is being replaced by former head of operations Charlie Jablonski, who will take on the roles of COO and acting CEO.

OnLive also announced another exec appointment: Gary Lauder of Lauder Partners LLC is now the Chairman of the newly-restructured OnLive entity. Lauder was also an original OnLive investor, and became the first new backer when the company abruptly announced the sale of all of its assets to a newly-formed OnLive entity two weeks ago.

That restructuring also led to all of the company’s original shareholders getting wiped out, and the layoff of the company’s entire staff. A little less than half of OnLive’s employees got an offer to work for the new entity, and OnLive said today that is now “looking to hire great people for the business development team, as well as a senior marketing leader.”
