Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to go pretty in pink?

Have you ever wanted to use a gigantic pink smartphone? The time might be near. According to a report from SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 3 will first ship in both black and white versions (wherefore art thou, pebble blue?), followed by a pink model one month later.

It is unclear if the pink version of the phone will be available in the U.S. or exclusive to South Korea and Taiwan. The report offers no new information about the phone, which is expected to feature a 5.9-inch screen and launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch at Samsung’s Unpacked Episode 2 event on September 4.

After years of smartphone color monotony, I’m actually quite pleased with this recent influx of color we’re seeing from companies such as Motorola, Nokia, and now possibly Samsung. Smartphones are deeply personal devices, so it makes sense to offer them in colors that appeal to a wide range of tastes. As for me, I’m not so sure I’d want to carry a large pink “phablet,” but I do think a turquoise version would look pretty sharp.
