Sponsor post: YouTube, Twitter and startups to reinvent TV at MIPCube

Firstly, through a world-class series of disruptive speakers, including IfWeRanTheWorld’s Cindy Gallop, who describes herself as “the Michael Bay of business,” as she likes to “blow shit up”; Allen DeBevoise, the head of 1-billion-views-per-month fan-made game video site Machinima; and Tony Wang, Twitter UK’s general manager, who will explain “why must-see TV is now must-tweet TV.”

Secondly, via a series of big-name hands-on workshops, including YouTube’s Creators’ Playbook master class, on how producers can make the most of the online video platform. Transmedia, augmented content and 2screen TV will also be tackled, through a series of special sessions.

Thirdly, through three MIPCube competitions. MIPCube Lab will honor the startups best placed to disrupt TV in 2012 (submission deadline: Feb. 20); TV Hack Day will see developers invent new TV apps in just 48 hours in Cannes; and Content 360 seeks the world’s best viral video series (with MSN) and new transmedia concepts, with over €18000 in funding offered to the winners (submission deadline: Feb. 24).

Finally, MIPCube will run into MIPTV’s first day, April 1. That day’s connected highlights include interventions from Samsung’s Daniel Saunders, Xbox 360/Microsoft‘s Peter Mercier, YouTube’s Jed Simmons and Google TV’s Christian Witt.
