More confirmation for Nokia Lumia 719, passes certification in China

NokiaJust a few weeks ago we reported that an unknown device called Nokia Lumia 719 has passed qualification on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) website. While we didn’t see this device unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, details of the device has surfaced once again, this time from the official Chinese government radio management agency SRRC showing that the device has recently passed certification:

Chinese Certification

The screenshot above shows that the device was certified on February 22nd, just a day after we discovered the Bluetooth certification. The device is listed as “Nokia 719C”, with the ending letter indicating that it is intended for China Telecom’s CDMA2000 network. We’ve also found entries for the “Nokia 800C” showing a customised version of the Nokia Lumia 800 for the CDMA2000 network.

The device name first appeared in a rumour from a Nokia Finland employee back in December last year, and both the Lumia 719 and 719C had appeared on OccasionalGamer’s statistics page. Not much is known about the Nokia Lumia 719 device yet, except the fact that it will have a 3.7” ClearBlack Display screen and 5 megapixel camera, which places it in similar category to the Lumia 710. The device is said to be targeted at the Asia, North America, and South America markets.

Could this be the fifth Windows Phone from Nokia? We certainly hope so!
