Xbox.com Dashboard update: the rollout timetable

Microsoft is rolling out the new Xbox.com dashboard update (and btw shouldn’t this update have some sort of a cool name, like Mango or Siri?) tomorrow, December 6th, and Larry Hyrb, or as he’s better known, “Major Nelson”, has just tweeted out the promised rollout schedule, which we have to say is pretty ambitious:

FAQ: When will the Xbox 360 dashboard update be available? A: Everyone should receive it by 10a ET/7a PT/15:00 UTC http://t.co/wMysiwcE

So if you’re one of the 35 million, you should be getting your update soon, very soon.

The dashboard update has been getting lots of good buzz, from the New York Times, to Engadget, to the Verge, and has spent a good part of today at the top of Techmeme, and while we’re expecting the real impact of the Xbox/Kinect/Bing combo to evolve over the next year or so, this could be the beginning of something very big indeed.
