Hotmail completes rollout, makes changes

hotmaillogoA post on the Inside Windows Live blog tonight announces that the Hotmail Wave 4 rollout is now complete, and all 350 million users in 220 countries should now be upgraded.

Hotmail has already made some changes based on user feedback (although by looking at the latest Solution Center posts there are still at least some very frustrated users having problems with the new Hotmail):

…You can leave comments in this blog, use our support forums or click the feedback link right in Hotmail (you can find it in the lower right corner of the page).

We’ve already gotten lots of feedback, and we’ve already made some changes based on the feedback we’ve received – for instance, we no longer sign you into Messenger by default. We’ll continue to go through feedback, and we’ll continue to make improvements and updates. So, keep the comments coming and thanks for using Hotmail.

Anyway, congrats to the folks at Windows Live and Hotmail for completing the rollout, from what we can tell things went very smoothly (if not quite as fast as we were hoping Winking smile )!
