Microsoft confirms Zune for Mac is coming later in 2010

So all iPhone users can sync their phones with their Windows PCs using iTunes for Windows, but what about Windows Phone 7 users? Not long ago our friends at WMPowerUser.com found a Microsoft job posting for a senior software design engineer for Windows Phone 7 which mentions developing software on Mac OS X. And as pointed out by LiveSino.net, the good old KIN also had an application called KIN Media Sync for Mac which was jointly developed by Microsoft and Mark/Space. Today, well spotted by Neowin, Oded Ran, Microsoft UK’s head of Windows Phone marketing, posted a tweet announcing that Mac users would be able to use Zune on their Mac OS X to sync content with Windows Phone 7:

Engadget was able to confirm this news later today with an official statement from Microsoft:

Later in 2010 Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers.

Not much details were revealed, but for all you Mac users out there – watch for Zune for Mac coming your way!
