We are adding two new speakers — Andy Bechtolsheim and Drew Houston — to our already stellar line up for GigaOM RoadMap, our conference that will look at how connectedness changes everything from how we live, work, create and consume. Other speakers at the conference include Jack Dorsey of Twitter & Square, Michael Moritz of Sequoia Capital, Brian Chesky of AirBnB, Tom Conrad of Pandora, Jim Lanzone of CBS Interactive, Bob Bowman of MLB.com and Ed Leonard of Dreamworks Animation. (Full list of speakers & schedule here. Buy tickets here!)
Bechtolsheim, one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems and more recently of red-hot Arista Networks, is a guru of infrastructure and has an incredible ability to peer into the future and determine its infrastructure needs. He will talk to me about the infrastructure needs of a pervasive community and constant connectivity.
And then there is Drew Houston, the boy wonder CEO and co-founder of Dropbox, arguably one of the most popular online storage companies. It is transforming itself from being store-and-sync service to a platform for a mobile world. In a conversation with Derrick Harris, he remarked that televisions, cameras and even cars are the next natural devices in which Dropbox wants to expand its reach. Carriers and handset makers are lining up for the company that recently raised a spectacular amount of money. He is going to be talking about apps and services in the future.
Hopefully you can join me and the GigaOM team at GigaOM RoadMap conference on November 10 in San Francisco. You can register here.
