HTC Evo 3D first look video, no glasses required

Sprint’s HTC Evo 3D launches next week on June 24, but a review unit found its way to us yesterday. Rather than keep the Android 2.3.3 device to ourselves, here’s a first look video of Sprint’s latest 4G phone. HTC Sense 3.0 dominates the user experience, just like it does on other new HTC phones such as the Sensation 4G. In fact, the Evo 3D is extremely similar to the Sensation 4G except for three big differences.

A pair of 5-megapixel cameras can be used to capture 3-D videos or stills on Sprint’s new handsets and no glasses are required to view them. Instead, a stereoscopic display shows the three-dimensional views in an effective way. A full gigabyte of RAM in the EVO 3D exceed the 768 MB of memory in the Sensation and I’m finding the Evo 3D to be noticeably more responsive as a result. And of course, being a Sprint 4G phone, this Evo uses WiMAX and EVDO for mobile broadband connectivity.
