There is very little doubt Apple will be introducing two new iPhones this year for the first time ever. In addition to the widely expected iPhone 5S, Apple is believed to be launching the iPhone 5C, a lower-cost model of the popular smartphone. And while we’ve already seen plenty of images of the alleged new device, Evleaks has brought us the first images of the iPhone 5C along with potential cases from Case-Mate.
The first case, pictured above, shows a foldable flip cover, which reminds me a lot of Apple’s Smart Cover for the iPad. In its tweet along with this pictured, Evleaks mentioned, “Case-Mate showing off iPhone 5C cases, with a very specific shipping estimate: ‘EST. SHIP DATE 9/20/2013 8:00:00 AM.’” The exact 8AM timing here is new, but the September 20 date fits in with what we’ve heard about the availability date for the new iPhones so far. Apple, AT&T and T-Mobile have all reportedly set employee vacation blackout dates around that time.
The second case, pictured below, appears to be a translucent plastic case paired with a protective bumper and features clear Case-Mate branding. Both images look like the real deal. We’ll know for sure soon enough, as Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C at an event on September 10.
