You might remember rumors about the BlackBerry A10. Well, the A10 is back, except this time it’s being called the BlackBerry Z30, and a video from Channel S picked up by NowhereElse shows a walkthrough with the alleged device.
As you can see, the phone bears more than a passing resemblance to the HTC One, with a softness to the corners that brings to mind the Samsung Galaxy S 4. There’s an AT&T logo on the back of the phone, which makes me think that this particular model might makes its debut stateside.
The BlackBerry Z30 features a 720p, 5-inch AMOLED display, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2800mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel sensor up front. Those are last year’s high-end specs, so whether BlackBerry expects the Z30 to have a real fighting chance is anyone’s guess. But if the phone shown in this video is legit, I don’t think this device will be the savior that BlackBerry needs.
On Monday the company said it is looking for “possible transactions,” anywhere from a partnership to an outright sale.
