Netflix is going to launch an app on the new Nook, introduced earlier this morning by book retailer, Barnes & Noble. Netflix will come pre-installed on the device that is going to be available in stores on November 17, 2011 and will cost $ 250.
This early support for Barnes & Noble’s platform makes perfect sense as Nook is seen as a competitor to Amazon’s Kindle Fire, which is based on Amazon’s own video service. Netflix has been an aggressive supporter of mobile devices and has been launching the service on multiple devices including game consoles and televisions.
