We’ve been expecting to hear from Nokia, and the Finnish device manufacturer took to Twitter Tuesday morning to announce an upcoming event on October 22nd. This is likely to unveil the heavily rumored 6-inch Lumia 1520 “phablet.”
Nokia was initially expected to announce the phone later this month, but reports later tipped a delayed October unveiling. So my guess is that this is what we’ll be seeing come October 22nd. The teaser image pictures skiers in the desert along with the hashtag “innovations reinvented,” so we’re not getting many clues there. The Lumia 1520 is expected to feature a 6-inch screen, making it the first Windows Phone “phablet.”
Nokia is also expected to announce a 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet. Whether this will make its debut alongside the Lumia 1520 next month remains to be soon.
