Dark. Cold. Slush on the ground. Cool startups inside. Slush introduces a setting making a trip to slushy Helsinki worth it. The conference gathers the region’s most promising startups, international investors and a speaker lineup of hot entrepreneurs.
The highlights from the program include the independent smartphone developer Jolla, which will unveil its new OS Sailfish at Slush. The Nordic gaming success is also present with both the Rovio and Supercell set to make exclusive announcements during the event.
Skolkovo, the Russian innovation and technology center near Moscow, brings a hefty group of more than 100 startups, entrepreneurs and technologists to Slush. It will be the biggest showcase of Russian technology and entrepreneurship in Europe. This brings forth a promise of cleantech and life sciences startups lining up to pitch at the event.
During its five year existence, Slush has become the leading event of the region by bringing together the diverse startup and technology scene from the Baltic Sea area of 200 million people.
