Where to watch Occupy Wall Street live online

Regardless of how you feel about the politics behind Occupy Wall Street, you’ve got to admit that it’s kind of fascinating to see a movement start with a hash tag and then spread to countless cities across the U.S. and beyond. Much of this can be followed live online, thanks to a number of citizen reporters, as well as major news organizations streaming live from the protests.

Here’s a list of streams that will help you to keep track of what’s going on with Occupy Wall Street right now:

  • The Global Revolution team has been live streaming from New York pretty much since the protests began in mid-September, and has been attracting thousands of live viewers with its coverage.
  • The Uptake has been putting more emphasis on its live coverage from Occupy Wall Street, including a live stream of a Laura Flanders show straight from the protest grounds.
  • The local Fox affiliate in New York has been providing regular coverage of the protests on its live stream.
  • Livestream has become unofficial platform of many Occupy protests around the country, likely spurred by the success of the Global Revolution stream. A quick search on their site reveals dozens of feeds from cities like Los Angeles, Austin, Toronto, Portland and Baltimore.

We’ll update this list as new streams become available, so check back regularly and please let us know if you stumble across other relevant feeds.
