Microsoft UK has been sending out invitations to IT Pros across the country to encourage and educate IT Pros about moving off IE6. This campaign continues work done by Microsoft internationally to move users off IE6 and on to more modern and secure web browsers.
Microsoft UK points out that support for Windows XP will come to an end on the 8th April 2014, which for businesses isn’t all that far away, and yet many businesses still use IE6. This is mostly because of “problem applications” and so Microsoft has teamed up with with Camwood, Citrix Systems and Quest Software to help businesses and IT Pros move away from IE6.
Microsoft will be working with the aforementioned companies at several events around the UK that will discuss “the technical challenges faced by IT departments when migrating off IE6”. As you can see in the list of events below there is more to some of these events than just talking about web browsers as two of the events include stadium tours.
Microsoft UK is keen to see as many IT Pros sign up to these events as possible.
