Today in London, Microsoft announced plans to integrate MSN Music with Zune, MSN Music will create links in its “music editorial” to content on Zune.net. The recently announced Zune Pass in the UK, (£8.99/mo), which doesn’t include the 10 free songs per month offered in the US, does offer unlimited access to “millions of tracks from all the major labels as well as thousands of independent labels”, and now those tracks will be featured at MSN Music.
“The integration between MSN and Zune Pass will allow subscribers to log in from any supported web browser for unlimited access to a catalogue of 7 million songs in the Zune Marketplace” according to Steven Wilson-Beales from MSN Music in a press release. Zune will replace the current download store as the music consumption experience for MSN Music.
