My eye just caught the following news item:
Jul 21, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) — Microsoft Germany has announced a new exclusive service for Windows Live users enabling free mobile internet access. With immediate effect, members of the Windows Live Community (Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger users) aged 16 and over can secure a free SIM card for free mobile internet access. This service will operate through the ad-funded ‘NetzClub’ (Network Club) pre-paid mobile ad brand of O2 Germany. The SIM card will support free mobile access to Windows Live services and PC software, in addition to all other free-to-use websites.
Nice initiative! Ad-funded yeah, prepaid hmm, but hey it’s free so….here’s a heads up for our readers in Germany
Edit: You can get yours at http://windowslive.netzclub.net/ (thanks Pat Possible)
