Last week we reported that Nokia is set to unveil their Nokia “Phi” Windows Phone 8 device at Nokia World 2012, scheduled to be held in Helsinki, Finland on September 5. Today The Verge, via unnamed sources, re-confirmed this rumor with details about another two Nokia Windows Phone 8 handsets coming soon.
According The Verge, the Nokia “Phi” (codename only) will be initially available on US’s AT&T network as an exclusive hero device, and will feature a large curved glass display and polycarbonate body as a successor to the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900. The Verge also reported another device, codenamed the Nokia “Arrow”, which is said to be a mid-range device and will be available on the AT&T as well as T-Mobile networks. Both devices are expected to be announced during the joint Nokia and Microsoft announcement on September 5.
Furthermore, The Verge also mentioned Nokia “Atlas”, which is said to be an identical variant of the Nokia “Arrow” but able to run on the Verizon network, will be announced later in the year. No details about international availability of any of these devices at this stage, but it’s safe to assume that these devices will be coming to markets globally.
