@jsdman1234 win7 actually works better on older computers than vista i heard. Vista’s main problem was because it was stressful on older computers. While 7 is less stressful and works better than vista or xp its a win win for you. But I recommend getting a new computer like I did it’s worth the money

@keating234 xDD Sounds like you’re having fun. I put Vista on my perfectly fine XP machine and well…. Let’s just say I can’t run anything older than the Half-Like one games anymore very well… xDDDDDDDD I’m not gonna risk hurting it anymore by putting 7 on it. I’m just gonna buy a new computer (eventually) Lol

@CommanderForce7 I think some of them were halted because they wanted to make them better then release them, they were basically beta systems. Windows 7 was an OS that was being planned for years. But because they thought it wouldn’t come out soon enough, so they came out with the beta system and made a few tweaks (windows vista).
@jsdman1234 I had the experience of a lifetime. I had XP on a piece of crap computer that was 10 years old with half a gig of ram it ran so slow, it took 15 minutes to start up and then it would doing random shit like changing my backround and making it so I couldn’t even open a program/game. Then I got a dell laptop with windows 7 installed (that’s right I skipped a generation). Best experience ever!!!! Then my laptop needed a slight fix so I had to switch back to my crappy computer again lol.
@keating234 XP is out-dated now. It was good to have back about the time of Vista, but now that Seven is out… It’s sad.

…thanks for making this history!! i never heard of “Whistler” and “neptune” !! where i can find it to test??? i have a Longhorn build 40?? version from 2005, its working perfectly on my old AMD XPmobile 2400+ Acer Notebook with 256 MB Rams!
But those Lonhorn version has one Very Big BUG, its not possible to create new folders!
But i has some extras that window 7 not has.like the preview when you with the mousecursor over it!!!!!!!!!
