Apple Delivers watchOS 27 Beta 2 to Apple Watch Ultra 3

*Apple has now seeded the second developer beta of watchOS 27 to the Apple Watch Ultra 3, two days after the same build reached other models.*

Apple released watchOS 27 developer beta 2 on June 23 for most compatible watches. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 was excluded at launch. On June 25 the company made the same beta available for the Ultra 3 as well.

The update requires a free developer account. Installation happens through the Watch app on a paired iPhone. The watch must sit on its charger, connect to Wi-Fi, and show at least 50 percent battery.

The beta brings Siri AI to the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The feature supports back-and-forth conversation and draws on both personal data and general knowledge. An improved Workout Buddy is also listed among the changes.

Prior state

The first watchOS 27 beta shipped more than two weeks earlier. The Ultra 3 received that initial build but missed the second one until today’s seed.

Why it matters

Owners of the newest Ultra model now have the same software track as other recent watches. The delay was brief, yet it left the flagship device without the latest Siri capabilities for several days. The fix restores parity without requiring users to wait for a later build.
