Apple Sets Up Its First Developer Center in Europe
*Apple will open a Berlin facility later this year to give European developers direct access to labs and expert sessions.*
Apple announced the opening of its first developer center in Europe. The site will sit in Berlin’s Mitte district and begin operations later this year. It becomes the company’s fifth such location after Cupertino, Shanghai, Singapore, and Bengaluru.
The center will run in-person sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments. Support will be available in multiple languages. Consultation areas and dedicated labs will be staffed by Apple engineers.
Facility details
Apple released images of the planned interior but supplied no further technical specifications. The space is described only as containing the same consultation and lab layout used at the other four centers.
Official statement
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said Europe hosts a strong developer community. She added that the company has long held the view that proper tools and resources lead to strong results for developers.
Why it matters
The move gives Apple a fixed European base for direct developer support instead of relying on travel or remote channels. Developers in the region gain scheduled lab time and language-matched guidance that previously required trips to Asia or the United States. For Apple, the center strengthens its position in a market where local app creation continues to grow without depending on U.S. headquarters schedules.
